Migrating Applications to SSD from HDD

hello all,

posted earlier week in regards getting new ssd , putting original hard drive in optibay. have question regarding migrating information ssd. had planned on doing clean install of os x lion on ssd , migrating applications on there, keeping documents, pictures, , music on original hard drive. have few questions that.

1) how go moving applications ssd while keeping documents , else on original hard drive? easy copying , pasting information?

2) efficient have os x on both of drives? or should (after finish migrating) clone current hard drive external device, reformat/erase hard drive, restore information want?

 

1. migration assistant / setup assistant information:

setting-up new mac old one, backups, or pc
which includes:

• using setup assistant on lion
• using migration assistant on lion
• transferring files 1 user account another
• transferring home folders not on startup volume
• transferring applications
• problems after using migration assistant

2. have ssd , original hdd in mbp, hdd partitioned 3 partitions, 1 mac os x installer, 1 cloning ssd's contents , 1 data storage.
have home directory on ssd, no need home directory on hdd.
