Lion install boots into a foreign language!?

i bought used macbook pro user korean , macbook may have been bought in korea well. os (snow leopard) system language set english, no issues there.

today wanted install lion. used usb lion installer. however, surprise, installer using korean language (that is, when booted installer in korean).

thinking still issue previous os language terminated lion installation, booted single user mode , used 'languagesetup' change language again english (as mentioned here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4102). did not help.

baffled. why macbook use korean when installing lion, on particular macbook , though prior os system language set english? there information in hardware determines default installation language?

update:

tried around problem kept reoccurring. no matter what, not given option choose system language during lion install , default korean. seems have fixed in end (a combination of) following:

1) had reset pram.
2) used languagesetup again change system language english (from "blind" korean installation of lion).

after offered option choose system language upon usb install boot.

really, odd.

can't choose language install in?
