got iphone 4s , since set up, marks e-mail read. phone buzzes alert , shows preview. before read message or touch phone, alert goes away , marks message read.
it's gmail account set using exchange. i've never had problem on ipad , happens on iphone.
do have gmail.com website open when happening? notice when have open phone never gets push emails...just thought.
