How to display iCloud email by time?

i can set preferences in icloud email on pc email displays descending order based on time email arrived or sent. why can't on iphone4 , ipad2? there doesn't seem rhyme or reason order of display. it's hard track emails when recent randomly buried way down list.

 

i've noticed there may pattern these random placement new email. i'm going check out in future...

i'm thinking incoming email on iphone4 ipad2 posts over/under (??) whatever email highlighted. if i've looked @ older in-basket email, next 1 in seems right 1 looking at.
