Power Mac G5 Airport can't see any Wireless Networks


hi, have acquired power mac g5. previous owner using wirelessly before got it. airport on, cannot see wireless networks, yet when check on laptop (windows xp) same room there 9 networks displayed in 'view wireless networks' list (8 neighbouring houses). wondered if there setting needed switching on or off or whether netgear dg834n router compatible or if airport card kapuut! have tried setting system in same room router see if distance makes difference, still no change.

have limited knowledge of mac systems don't technical if reply. :eek:

does g5 have external antenna installed? looks white plastic t that's plugged back. without antenna, airport hardly works.
