Jailbreaking iPhone 4s?!?

i afraid of jailbreaking 4s. worried if screen cracks or water damage happens apple not fix cause has been jailbroken.
have hear people make backup of phone before jailbreak , when go iphone fixed @ apple store use up. main question here if use backup , bring apple store wont able trace phone has been jailbroken?
