Problems with Soundtrack Pro 3

living in france, work pal video time have edited on ntsc project, when send soundtrack in order mixing, external hard disk on project takes 20 minutes before beeing ready work. multicolored real turns , turns again, , if try make crossfade, blocks application. have made many tries, checks (all sounds in 48khz, aiff or wav (no mp3). think might because have converted pal images ntscs ? has idea ? thanks.
