New iPad vs PS Vita ( developers please take a look)

i know new ipad , ps vita have same gpu, vita produce better graphics , gaming performance since dedicated gaming device smaller screen , lower resolution? ( hoping developers respond) understand difference. debating on getting vita because of physical buttons wondering if there difference in graphics.
