Mellel, Sente, Bookends, Nisus, Oh My

hello,

first time posting here long time lurker. i'm social scientist has been using mellel/bookends combo time. i'm starting little tired of cumbersome ui both apps (and in case of mellel having export all files pain when using devonthink). lack of support (in bookends) more obscure citation styles journals in discipline use (i.e. asa) huge pita. love integration between 2 apps , think part works marvelously.

long story short (hey i'm academic ramble) i'm interested in nisus , sente possible replacements either both or 1 of apps. i've dabbled trials 30 days not same long term usage. i've searched in forums here , haven't found recent them. here have experiences these apps , have suggestions?
