i going buy new desktop(and laptop) computer soon, , thinking buying mac. however, can't find way justify higher price , lower quality compared self built pc. 1 laptop/desktop mac able things below , outperform pc (lunix/windows)? please provide benchmarks.

it's simple: if know how mac meets needs better pc , find price acceptable you, buy mac. if not, stick pc. it's not benchmarks. it's priorities important you.
