iPad not charging...

hi,

know there lot of messages ipads charging slowly, here goes;

got "new ipad" yesterday, , when plugged mains, charges fine, albeit slowly.

however, when plugged usb port, display says (literally) "not charging". because doesn't need to, usb underpowered, or there fault somewhere?
