Button held down on keyboard; think it's a software issue

hello! apologize if has been addressed in thread elsewhere.

have 2010 macbook pro (i7, 15"), snow leopard. noticed if leave computer on little bit, start holding down button. (it seems "o" button far.)

take pristine care of keyboard, , use compact air regularly, don't believe it's hardware issue. also, seems fine if restart it.

i've repaired permissions, installed system updates, , checked viruses.

have ideas?

in advance.

 

back-up , restore os fresh install? assuming have snow leopard disk, whack in , re-install
