curious question - on third ipad since last friday. first screen uneven yellow blotch. second had significant backlight issues cool screen. third seemed bit brighter in store admittedly bit warmer. using @ home, screen seems white. pleased.
realized after entire ordeal iphone screen, considered excellent, quite bit more yellow wife's screen. noticable when hold them side side , once on own looks great me. took photo last night of original ipad new 1 alongside both of our iphones, using digital camera in dark room looking directly @ devices set white backgrounds. ipad has terrible yellow glow in picture, whereas others shades of white. took second picture morning of apple website , brightness settings page both ipads , mine noticeably yellow in picture. on settings page area under wallpaper setting whitish blue on ipad , darker shade of blue on original ipad, when viewed naked eye.
many of photos have seen of defective yellow ipads on past few days horrible ones took morning, , hundred piss yellow comments if posted them here. typing on ipad right now, screen quite white me. possible many of pictures not capturing true screen appearance, or camera seeing naked eye covering up?
your eye adjusts, many people f.lux tweak attest this. that's why there's no point comparing screens, if notice after using 30 mins them yeah there's problem.
