ton guys.
not sure if got information needed or if pertinent you.
1 - can absolutely swap out hdd ssd, 3m double sided tape mount ssd.
2 - no necessary adapters unless absolutely want to. few pieces of 3m double sided tape mount ssd imac work alright.
3 - no fan issues, reapply temp sensor previous hdd ssd.
4 - no dual drives, , wouldnt recommend removing optical drive optical drive ata , not sata
5 - typically os take on 8-15gb depending on settings decide install, plus office large maybe 1-4gb irc, , ilife/iwork shouldnt more 4-10gb
6 - storage device filling data slow down bit, ssds theyre pretty @ maintaining performance wouldnt let less 10gb of available space
perform type of install need 2 suction cups put in top right corner , bottom left pull off glass straight off. remove ram access door removing front bezel requires torx t8 screw driver need remove 12 t8 screws before pulling off, make sure tilt bit @ top disconnect cable. remove 2 torx t6 screws on display cable below display, remove cable logic board remove 8 torx t8 screws around lcd/display, youll remove 4 cables of of imac , black display sensor cable, , tilt display bottom , remove it.
think ifixit might have guide available, direct service guide
