Change home directory = constant lockups

got ml 10.8 dp1 installed , ok until move home directory off of ssd , onto 2nd hdd in optibay. once , reboot hardly load (spotlight, clock, other tools in menubar).

if try open system preferences freeze , needs force quitting, lot of apps whereas others open fine such safari, itunes etc.

moment switch home directory works , great.

done on both upgraded lion install , fresh install too.

else tried setup , issues?

 

maybe if went bit more details, you. how moving user's home directory ? modifying user's entry point new mount point ? mount done on boot ssd volume ? done on existing location ?
