i've been doing ton of hunting , haven't quite come across predicament. obtained powermac g5 a1047 dp 1.8ghz. 1 problem. no hard drive or optical drive. have multiple hard drives work perfectly, no os on them. have optical drive, no ide cable plug g5's board.
therefore, cannot find way leopard.iso or dvd installed on hard drives. have usb dock can connect hard drive mbp detailed in signature, 2010 mbp cannot boot leopard disk. had intent of booting dvd , installing externally connected usb hard drive. (cheapest) solution can think of buy small ide cable hook optical drive , install using leopard dvd @ hand.
i'm looking other option besides buying cable. have usb universal drive connector. hooked optical drive have cabling, powermac g5 not boot usb. found through research, thought try anyway. i'm looking else' thoughts? comments?
have vmware fusion, don't believe fusion allow me boot disk , select install, please correct me if i'm wrong!
