Manully added TV shows NOT show up on iphone4

iphone 4 32gig
ios 5.0.1 (9a405)
itunes 10.5.3.3
windows 7 32-bit

media managed manually via itunes.

tv shows ripped m4v files , play on iphone if leave them media kind: movie. listed in videos icon on iphone.

issue:
once go itunes , change media kind tv show , fill out data (series, title, season, episode, grouping, etc) disappear iphone never seen again (until change them media kind: movie).

failed attempts fix:
i've restored iphone factory , rebuilt media library on iphone....this did not fix issue.

i've uninstalled itunes , reinstalled...this did not fix issue.

please help! i've searched net 3 days , found others similar issues, not resolutions.

 

i think have same problem.
when plug iphone 4 (ios 5.0.1) , drag video file straight iphone, change info tv show in iphone's movie tab, doesn't appear. around it. added file itunes library first. change info in library's movie tab, go tv show , add iphone
