Macbook pro A1286 fixed fuse for LED backlight and screen flashes and turns off

hello everybody,

have problem macbook pro. got used , have no idea happened before. screen did not work , after reading forums here decided take apart , find fuse led backlight. found it, , shorted pins of fuse , seemed work fine, after 10 min screen started flashing , turned off. have video here: http://youtu.be/lkam1zd0rrc start watching @ 2:30
did reset pram , smc. external monitor works, , else in computer works fine.

should , worng?

 

was white rectangular smt device? well, wasn't fuse, capacitor led drive circuitry. leds in backlight , possibly rest of drive circuitry toast. possibly new display assembly, or possibly more.

i'd send 1 in powerbook medic have proper diagnostic tools , parts inventory fix it. might need new display assembly, or there may more damage, such voltage regulators on logic board. displays on unibodies hard disassemble, lots of glue , heat gun required. repair shops change out display assembly complete unit (top case, lcd panel, bezel, isight, mic, etc). labor costs make pointless disassemble unibody displays swap out panel.
