hi all,
have come across odd problem whilst setting new ipad2 - absolutely cannot find mention of on internet in turn makes hard believe in way common problem. surely others have noticed?
problem file create in pages, numbers or keynotes @ least doubles in size when sync ipad , open in iwork.
example: 20kb file in pages on macbook. if either uploaded via icloud or sync'd dropbox arrives on ipad (dropbox reports correct size, no info on pages menu).
file on ipad (not opened @ point although makes no difference if do), syncs icoud. @ point turns 300kb file.
if download file, permanently bigger. way reduce normal cut , paste new document , save it.
load icloud problem comes back. if file created on ipad pages, 300kb if write 1 character.
guess huge amount of meta-data contained in ipad version of pages, kept file future syncing. seems unacceptable , hugely impact storage requirements.
can't believe no-one has noticed since icloud released make me doubt own set-up.
please can test , let me know results?
create , save file on mac , icloud / dropbox etc ipad. once file in pages/numbers/keynote, let sync , check file in on www.icloud.com iwork see it's size.

i wonder if due 'versions' feature can revert prior version of document/spreadsheet, etc. guess delta changes have go somewhere!
tbh - i've not played might way off here, that's first thought.
