Does iTunes Match upgrade my songs on my Mac?

the title kinda seas all. know itunes match let's me download songs in higher quality. itunes match automatically upgrade tracks on mac higher quality?

 

not automatically. need delete songs on mac , download them cloud in order higher bitrate version. that's assuming 2 things: match version in higher bitrate , match matched song , didn't upload computer.
