iPad retina wallpapers being downsized by iTunes

i missing something, retina wallpapers tried sync ipad via itunes got resized 1536x1536. if save them camera roll directly safari stay 2048x2048.

 

maybe let keep 2048 resolution when sync new ipad, still limited on ipad2.
