HD & Ram Upgrades to my 2008 macbook (Need a quick opinion)

first thing want upgrade ram , hard drive , without spending ton of money. thus, not interested in buying brand name stuff- that's going last , job.

here upgrades considering buying off of ebay:
ram (6gb)

these ram/harddrive upgrades wise purchases?

 

the ram wise decision, although think 4gb sufficient enough ( , lot cheaper 2x 2gb). also, i'd ssd (vertex 2/3 imo) best way go. i've done same 2008 blackbook.

60gb vertex 3 ssd + 4gb ram + lion. did put optibay in (removing optical drive) hd (500gb). 2 hard drives inside.

ssd set around 100 dollars low capacity (60gb vertex 3) , ram 30-40 dollars?
