Why is facetime so choppy?

i use (or try to) g/f , both have cable high speed internet, speed test on both our phones give 14mb down.

yet facetime lags horribly bad?

why?

i facetime uk every day. being idiot myself, suggestion try re-boot before placing call. friend has make connection - once it's smooth, no lag.

forgive me if dopey advice. , have come conclusion there must bugs in ft, haven't figured out yet.

btw, although pretty techno-moron - extremely sophisticated, , still having trouble figuring out glitches.

sorry if i'm not helping, pre-call reboot can't hurt.
