Should I upgrade 1.42 Power PC Mac Mini?

so have 1.42 power pc mac mini , wondering if worth upgrading memory better performance. i've had 6 years or better have connected 1 of classic clear flat studio monitors like. have ipad(gen 1) , black macbook in house too. use desktop word processing , kids play educational games. new mini's $500+ , lacking optical drive. thoughts?

 

if it'll take ram upgrade , ssd these nice upgrades machine. wouldn't want spend on such old machine though.
