Mac SE Hard Drive

does know old mac se? trying connect newish hdd performa 6110cd (which quantum prodrive 250mb) computer doesn't turn on connected. makes buzzing sound speaker , sits on black screen. there compatibility issue hard drive , computer or there size limitation on motherboard of se. trying put hard drive se because original has bad sectors.

appreciated.

 

i don't see reason why wouldn't work. se boots fine when drive isn't installed?
