Do non-optimized apps look better or worse on the iPad3?

do apps have not been optimized retina display better or worse on ipad3 ipad2? i’m asking because remember when hd tvs first came out sd programs looked worse on hd tvs old sd tvs. wondering if similar happen here.

 

it's hard tell. think worse, because text in apps looks good, when see non-optimized graphics crappy in comparison.

theoretically new ipad should better, because of smaller pixel gaps in display.
