no...this isn't post stock availability!
i'm going go local apple store week , buy 64gb lte model in black, along black leather smart cover , maybe atv...but...i'm wondering percentage of units have "less ideal" quality control issues? based on users commenting on here in macforums, i'm going @ unit , examine for:
1. dead pixels...if see signs of dead pixels reject it.
2. yellowish display...anything looks yellow/pink or color shifty gets rejected.
3. exposed led array areas @ top or bottom in portrait mode when viewed acute angles...i'll checking oddity too.
4. gouges/scratches on of aluminum case...ick.
5. tooling marks left on device's edges improperly used tools during assembly...ick again.
think should cover it...but i'm afraid of there aren't such defect-free units out there!
when buying ipad let turn on , let handle , examine before buying it...or have pay first, "return/exchange" right there @ time?
it should readily available. if there's issue, return/exchange it. i'm sure it'll fine. reports of widespread issues blown out of porportion.
enjoy new ipad.
