VLC 32/64 or 64?

hey people, downloaded vlc when first got mbp, , didn't work. glitchy, , slow ditched it. wondered if right one? still says best one, thought i'd try again. terrible when got thought maybe why.

should there difference playback if had either or?

maybe, wrong one, or maybe wasn't good.. had heard older ones better?

i5 2011 mbp, 13 incher 2.3ghz

i have mac 10.6.8 , download 32/64 intel mac , works great!!

anyway 64-bit word size defines classes of computer architecture, buses, memory , cpus, , extension software runs on them. if download 32/64 version think ok!!
