Resolved How to solve certain version rollback issues with ML and Lion

this has since been fixed. see reply solution!

tried out ml, didn't (in fact, hated it) rolled 10.7.3. now, mail.app won't start , error:

people recommended fresh reinstall, happens directly after formatting hard drive , doing fresh reinstall! tried reinstalling ilife no avail. won't let me reinstall previous version of mail.

help?

tried "dirty" install of lion. no luck.
noticed of prefpanes aren't working. are:
desktop & screen saver
spotlight
energy saver

i'll try playing around onyx see if can fix these issues.

meanwhile, this thread describes same problem verbatim. guess op scared admit installing pirated version of ml dp.

 

checking out log, these prefpanes seem linked ilifemediabrowser:

so extracted ilifemediabrowser.framework folder installation media package , replaced 1 on computer. voilà, works!!

can extract necessary files , folders using pacifist. necessary package essentials.pkg installesd.dmg file used create bootable lion installation media.

ilifemediabrowser plugins being issue, can solved in similar fashion.

plug-in folder located in /library/application support/ilifemediabrowser/plug-ins.

always, best if used installation files match system version.

may helpful others want roll 10.7.3!
