Need to VPN via Sonicwall to Win2008 Server - run programs?

sorry extended subject length.

doing bookkeeping company wants set me log windows 2008 server. he's doing through sonicwall router. moving of quickbooks on server.

have not used vpn since novell days 10 years ago. guessing not able run qb windows using vpn. (for other quickbooks clients have, using either logmein or windows remote desktop connection).

if wrong, please let me know make life easier.

if right, easiest, least expensive , best way accomplish (hopefully can @ least 2 out of 3).

willing install windows of flavor on 2008 mb unibody if need last choice. think last choice buying cheap windows laptop.

have read through of issues sonicwall clients on forum here , cross bridge when it.

running leopard on machine. can upgrade never did because lose access old laser.

i ask client install logmein simplicity sake. not saying other methods aren't possible, why reinvent wheel. go works you.
