How to sync ringtones in iOS5

think have figured out way sync rigntones , sms files ios 5. these steps followed:

note: make sure have copy of ringtones on computer in .m4r format

note: manually manage sync on phone, not use auto sync

1. uninstalled itunes , re-installed (not sure if step required might optional)

2. remove ringtones phone using itunes

3. remove ringtones itunes library

4. re-add ringtones itunes library

5. manually drag each individual ringtone iphone , allowed synchronize

6. repeat step 5 each ringtone want add phone.

i tried doing few ringtones created. of them show in itunes under 'tones' heading, 2 of 5 copied phone. used same method make of m4r files was

download audio file in whatever format

open in quicktime

file > export > audio only

rename m4a file m4r

drag m4r file itunes.

wife's phone has same problem. 2 out of 4 ringtones show on phone, though show in itunes.
