i planning go on well-deserved vacation(haven't been anywhere in awhile). wondering best place(s) you've been to? (in terms of scenery, attractions, , food).

i sure enjoyed four-week vacation in new zealand; 8 years ago. 2 weeks south, 2 weeks north. going car; no plans; staying in whatever hotel/motel find. booked @ begin , end of trip.
lots of pictures done @ time.
nice nature/landscape. peaceful , slowed me down after heavy project. flying helicopter on volcano fun.
