but lashinsky notes forstall's open ambition has ruffled few feathers @ apple, reportedly stemming in part efforts consolidate influence while steve jobs on medical leave. previous reports have suggested forstall's personality @ least partially responsible "godfather of ipod" tony fadell leaving company in 2010.

tim cook awarded 1,000,000 restricted stock units in effort keep him in role of apple ceo until @ least 2021. 8 years cook's junior, forstall in position succeed cook @ point in future should apple able keep him within senior executive team.

hmm...not sure see it. doesn't scream jobs' charisma me...then again maybe nobody ever will. time tell guess.

edit: i'm not saying isn't qualified i'm wondering if can bring jobs' style rdf table. 1 gets press buy button before realize whats going on. haven't felt him...nor cook fair.
