Microsoft Office 2011: Excel constantly crashes

i have macbook pro 15, running 2.5ghz c2d , 4gb of memory, new 750gb hd.

installed microsoft office 2011, reason microsoft excel keeps when opened. i've uninstalled , reinstalled , i've tried usual voodoo.

ideas?

 

did install office updates?
