last week came across screaming deal mac pro. local electronics store selling major companies store floor models had mac pro come in , did not have os on hard drive (the hard drive new 250 gb) , owner had advertized @ $400.00 on craigslist. printed ad , went in take @ computer. got talking owner , had no idea computer worth , offered him $300.00 , $30.00 cheapo dell monitor.
lugging 45 pound computer car original wireless keyboard , wireless mighty mouse power cable , converter dell computer. computer home , set , and 20 inch cinema display , read apple instructions on setting every thing , load snow leopard on machine.
have been busy week getting 2 each 1 tb drives macsales , found machine had 4 each 1 gb of ram in , ordered 8 gb of ram macsales (4 each 2 gb sticks approved apple heat sinks) when opened case had expected dust bunnies on thing looked had come out of clean room, clean.
part of deal, when bought mac pro had set g5 power mac os guy @ store, knew how set windows machines had never done mac, showed him how easy wipe hard drive , fresh installation off restore discs power pc had mac pro did not.
realize not latest or greatest anymore sure has been fun setting , have loaded on 8,000 pictures bogging down imac has 250 gb hard drive. think found keeper of machine..
