Just erased my HD to do a clean install of Lion, now I'm missing 25 GB of SSD space?!

yikes. after having system-wide problems, attempted start scratch erasing hd , reinstalling lion on 2011 mbp 15" 128 gb ssd. seemed install fine(had internet recovery, bootable thumb drive didn't work reason...), when click on finder @ hard drive space, says have 102.81 gb of free space! ideas happened other 25 gb of space?

here's steps i've taken:

-rebooted holding down command + r
-used disk utility clear hard drive
-downloaded , installed lion
-noticed garage band, imovie , iphoto weren't included in lion install(is normal?), downloaded them off mac app store
-reinstalled pages , numbers via mac app store
-installed phonedisk app
-checked software updates(none showed)

, that's it.

what's taking of precious space? don't remember amount of hd space started out when new mbp shipped me... i'd find hard believe started 20% less ordered.

clues/tips great!

if you're wondering "other" category in lion storage tab about, may explain:
for space issues not explained above, there few things can try, of may or may not apply:
