iPhone 3GS 5.0.1 - Stuck at loading circle after reboot, please help!

hey iphone brothers,

jailbroke iphone 3gs , replaced dock connector. after this, iphone started being stuck @ apple boot logo, , advance spinning circle (of death?). tried restoring it, , same thing happens - apple logo, , spinning circle.

however, on itunes, phone looks though working - shows music, videos, etc.

things tried:
- restored 5 times. tried using iphone2,1_5.0.1_9a405_restore.ipsw (5.0.1 firmware iclarified), no luck.
- tried jailbreaking redsn0w 10.3b after restored it...the screen shows entire jailbreak process, when finished, shows apple logo --> spinning circle. tried "just boot" option , stuck @ pineapple logo.
- alternating between above 2 didn't either (ie. same result or without jailbreak). can dfu mode though.

please me advice can give - phone right now.

put in dfu mode , restore 4.1 firmware, activate redsn0w.
