iPad 2 dock connector wear and tear

i had first ipad 2 replaced because of issue. referring dock connector on ipad 2. both ipad 2's have owned have developed slight wear (scratches) on left side of dock connector (not metal on ipad 2)

has else noticed ipad 2 well? biggest concern on time wear cause dock connector stop functioning.

this normal. idevices dock connector have wear. nothing worry about.
