HELP: OS X Installation Issues / Kernel Panic on iMac G4

i've been trying fresh install on imac g4 700mhz picked up. had problems getting install take on system no matter do. have formatted drive, used new ones etc.

whether tried install panther or tiger failure 20 minutes process , asks me try reinstalling again. tried 15 times , same thing every time.

getting kernel panic when trying boot.. here picture attached.

have reset pram/nvram , repaired disk. i'm starting pull hair out appreciated!

-you replaced harddrive?

im gonna rule out there grey disks (and both panther , tiger retail?) getting 20 min install

when first got g4 did boot osx np?

alot of kernel panics because of bad ram or harddrives
