HD Upgrade using time machine?


hi,

have mbp , sadly running out of hd space.
intend buy new hd, , fit myself.

however, there easy way copy current hd onto new hd using time machine?

ie if complete time machine backup, change hd, can restore directly time machine backup onto newer, bigger disk?

im running snow leopard, if makes difference!

yes, can. faster buy new hdd, put enclosure 2.5" hdds connectable via usb (cost 10+ €) , use carboncopycloner clone internal hdd new hdd, make switch , use old hdd storage or backup device.
