hi,
have latest mac, core i7 8gb ram , 7200rpm internal 750 gb hard drive. new photography , video editing. wanting hard drive firstly can used video editing, on premier pro (adobe) system, student pricing on it, works out reasonable entire master suite, around 400 pounds. secondly mac's hard drive full of media files videos, etc. need ability transfer them hard drive, backed in case fails.
i'm guessing need 2 different hard drives, 1 on raid 0 setup video editing, caldigit vr 4tb, or ideally bit cheaper western digital setup, , second 1 on raid 1 setup or manually combining 2 hard drives media setup/backup.
i'm looking advice on buy cheaply. @ moment, western digital version costs 180 pounds 2tb setup suitable video editing, , media storage i'm looking @ 2 x 160 = 320 pounds media storage, without using nas. so, total cost 320+180 = 500 pounds right now. follow i'm trying accomplish, able give me advice on how cut down 500 cost, or advising spend more this. i'm interested , appreciative in getting advice on how meet video editing , media storage / backup needs. sorry if post isn't right reason, first post here.
