this first post. hope can me. macbook stolen me @ work on tuesday, march 6th. didn't have power cord me, have macbook. password protected able log in. have set automatically connect iphone hotspot , home wifi. closing alone when realized 1 of coworkers must have stolen laptop. turned iphone hotspot on , tried locate using "find iphone", while searching work in every spot think of. macbook kept showing "no location available". sent remote lock , message saying "bring laptop please!". tried play sound, in case stashed where, couldn't hear thing. have been checking emails informed when online wasn't receiving anything. last night, march 11, went junk folder , saw 2 emails find iphone saying macbook had been locked , sound has been played @ 2:31am march 9th. clicked link see location , couldn't. did research , found out had 24 hour window, missed.
i'm upset because a) should have been checking junk mail folder, assumed go inbox, b) after 24 hours location deleted , unavailable, , c) battery has died , won't have chance track it.
have sent message , sound in case connect again , have fixed email sent inbox.
i've tried calling apple support don't open couple hours thought try here while wait.
there way @ can access last known location?
unfortunately cannot report stolen fear may have missed chance , lose best friend forever.
if has info on how sooo grateful!! please have trick or something!
why can't report stolen? that's , best recourse now, unless send message , location it.
