i have late 2010 mac pro , using snow leopard 10.6.8. current drive setup 1 tb drive os/apps/data , 2 tb drive photos/video. switch ssd os/apps, , new 2 tb drive data (using old 1 tb drive backup long can.)
what's best way move os/apps new drive? owc recommends clean install:

treat operation treat boot drive replacement. can pretty ignore fact it's ssd unless ssd small , need split users folder.
otherwise, use same precautions: back-up things, copy , reboot new drive.
clean install, wouldn't bother unless have issues current one.
