so have noticed after owning mbp 2 weeks no matter how long leave plugged in percentage indicator keeps dropping.
on first day @ 100. on course of week dropped 99. @ 97.
going through calibration steps run down until shuts down, leave in state 5 or more hours, charge until little light turns green. have never done on rechargeable device have owned. figure need since says 97 instead of 100 percent.
your computer not top battery until drops below 95%. reduce charging stress on battery, extending life.
furthermore, under heavy load, computer drain more power mains power supply can provide. power comes battery.
therefore battery charge drop on time until falls below 95%, before recharging.
