3GS no activation after unlock/jb, then iOS 5.01 via iTunes...!

i have family member's iphone 3gs 8gb unlocked , jailbroken @ point of sale. hardware/software unlock?, can’t find out – vendor gone.

iphone jailbroken , using v4.1 os. wasn't running synced itunes apple ios 5.01!!! yes, didn’t realize doing... bootrom 3.59.3.2, if useful info

cannot activate iphone, due needing unlocked.

can’t determine firmware version using of many online methods described, including dial *3001#12345#*, sim, phone won't activate.

tools and/or procedure can use safely unlock , jailbreak iphone, without causing potentially serious issues inability unlock iphone, or baseband issues?

late regarding unlock or baseband issues?

there way access iphone pc software tool interrogate necessary iphone firmware, baseband, other? details?

there no blobs, restore points etc. available iphone –eek!

general concepts get. implementing solution way beyond me atm...

 

with describe, phone has ipad baseband on it. so, can use redsn0w 0.9.10b4 jailbreak , then, flash ipad baseband again , install ultrasn0w unlock it.
