Airport Express Woes.. (Audio streaming from mac not working?)

for first time in 6 months able stream audio airport express. (although needed sacrifice spotlight, bluetooth, etc.)
anyway, unable view airport express on airport utility, or rename it. not , cant see it. light on airport express amber?

-airport express not showing airport utility (i can stream audio through ipod)
-i can stream audio ipod itunes not see express (makes sense, seeing airport utility cant see even)
-i cant rename (if find in airport utility fix this)

how can fix these issues? many thanks.

 

sounds need try , reset express. so, hold down reset button pen or paperclip on bottom 7-10 seconds. light should flash when reset has begun. @ point, can remove pen/clip , let thing. once it's been reset, open airport utility , should able see time.

fyi - if using express airplay only, join express wifi network instead of extending it. make smoother airplay experience.
