Zebra LP 2844 Label Printer - won't install driver

i'm trying install zebra label printer , i've read, os (10.6.8) should have driver available in print setup (after plug in printer via usb). using 36 pin parallel usb cable. when plug computer, doesn't seem recognize @ (it doesn't show in finder>devices). also, maybe i'm looking in wrong place, print setup in system preferences>print & fax?

thought osx includes proper drivers zebra printers.

cannot work! using parallel usb cable.

i've used dymo 4xl mac. easy, too! after installing software came with, ready print. no questions. no mysterious drivers hunt down or weird configurations. i'm kicking myself getting zebra in effort save few bucks.. think i'm going return , go dymo.

has used either zebra lp-2844 or tlp-2844 thermal label printers print shipping labels via ebay and/or paypal??? (not label, ebay and/or paypal ones)

if so, driver have used???
