the economy improves , santorum sweeps 3 irrelevant primaries/caucuses (no delegates). coincidence social issues abortion, gay marriage , religious "freedom" oppress others coming front? (oh, , don't forget flag burning @ ows)

if economy continues improve, other social issues, republicans going run on?

can run on debt? point high deficits, numbers don't lie, , not things getting better, deficits shrinking (slowly). plus, every republican knows, obama has no problem reminding people had surplus before policies gop support enacted last republican.

can run on job creation? gop points keystone , 10,000 jobs, may temporary jobs, project makes gop more oil industry centric, , obama administration supports project. gop demanded instant approval of different pipe route without allowing regulatory process review new route! yes, new route because nebraska governor, republican, demanded pipeline not go through sandhills because dangerous environment. seem recall gop refusing allow vote on president's job plan, plus eliminate 35,000 permanent green energy jobs.

can run on economy? how going handle payroll tax holiday? saw happened in december. unemployment getting better. manufacturing improving (yes, auto industry bailout worked).

immigration - obama has done far more predecessor.

oil exploration - more domestic exploration predecessor. less reliant on foreign oil.

romney keeps saying president obama has made things worse. american people think worse or better @ end of bush administration? you?

can continue attack health care reform, however, if nominee romney, attack might backfire. sheer size of debt , deficits have stress, when explaining why not spending have been worse. might have happened tough sell, gop can frame argument has them.

there 2 republican parties today. more libertarian in wanting more fiscal responsibility , less government, , want more government regulation/control of moral issues. there geographic schism in how these 2 schools of thought distributed. not unlike democratic party issues dixicrats 60 years ago. can see split in party (not election cycle). however, more socially conservative republicans swing, more alienate moderate independents.
