Need Advice on Bluray

i interested in buying bluray reader/writer mac pro , have couple questions.

1. there way mac play bluray movie directly disc?

2. rip blurays , use drive creating backups of photo library - both of these activities should possible, correct?

3. software required ripping blurays? have been using ripit dvds...will work blurays? encoding, handbrake still work?

4. how hdd space typical 2 hour long encoded bluray movie take up?

5. have external fw800 dvd burner bought owc. purchase internal bluray reader/writer , pop enclosure. there major differences other i/o speed when using internal vs. external bluray drive?

6. there known drive makes/models should avoid?

3. can use make mkv , handbrake together.
4. single layer bd disk 25gb , dual layer 50gb, maximums.
5. not sure.
6. stick lg, make excellent drives, have 1 in mp.
