FCPX, VLC and Vimeo all different colours/colors

all,

title says, im absolutely bewildered current issue having!

have edited , colour graded 4 min video in fcpx. sent compressor export using 1080p vimeo output (i changed colour tab "preserve source").

on opening video in quicktime, ok. colour fine. brillant. when open in vlc, colour subtlety redder.

once uploaded onto vimeo, video gets redder!!! between fcpx , vimeo, seems have shifted red side. not overly red, skin tones have red tinge it.

know why?!! when colour grading, accidentally had adobe rgb (1998) display profile set. when changed default imac profile, colour , contrast changed.

without buying/renting calibrating equipment, should default profile be.

sorry million questions! need deliver vid client next week! help!!!!

ok, stranger, jus viewed video via vimeo on ipad , colours great! no red tinge!!

i'm more confused now, have imac display profile then?
